Emotional Intelligence Foundations
Emotional Intelligence Foundations is designed to help participants understand the benefits of being emotional intelligent in personal and professional settings. The workshop focuses, on foundational principles of emotional intelligence (self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, relationship management) and practical strategies to enhance your EI improving communication, and relationships.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to define emotional intelligence, recognize and describe their own emotions, apply self-regulation strategies, demonstrate empathy in social interactions, and use emotional intelligence skills to communicate effectively and manage relationships in personal and professional settings.
Self-Awareness
Define emotional intelligence and explain its importance in personal and professional settings.
Recognize personal emotional triggers and describe how they influence decision-making.
Self-Regulation
Explain strategies for managing strong emotions such as stress, frustration, and anger.
Describe techniques for maintaining emotional balance in challenging situations.
Social Awareness
Recognize nonverbal cues and emotional expressions in social interactions.
Explain how cultural differences impact emotional expression and understanding.
Relationship Management
Explain strategies for resolving conflicts in a constructive manner.

The Emotional Intellegence Foundation Badge represents a recognition of the foundational skills and knowledge acquired by attending the workshop. To align with the badge level, the following criteria must be met:
1. Demonstration of Core Knowledge: The badge signifies that participants have demonstrated a foundational understanding of emotional intelligence concepts through knowledge checks and thoughtful discussions.
2. Practical Application of Skills: The badge is awarded to participants who have successfully applied emotional intelligence skills in practical scenarios and roleplay. This shows their ability to translate hypothetical knowledge into practice.
3. Development of Professional and Ethical Standards: The badge indicates that students have engaged in principled discussions, developed a personal code of values, and demonstrated a commitment to a culture of leadership practices.
4. Evidence of Reflective Learning: Participants receiving the badge have actively participated in self-reflection and understand their emotional intelligence wellbeing. This reflective learning demonstrates an awareness of emotional intelligence strengths and areas for growth.
