Leadership for Learners - Building Blocks of Leadership
This microcredential recognizes learners who have received exposure to skills and qualities needed to lead effectively in both academic and professional environments. Through participation in this leadership training, learners will develop key competencies in professionalism, communication, critical conversation, constructive conflict, management and organizational-level mission, vision values. This micro credential provides space for professional and personal growth leading to success in the healthcare marketplace.
Must be a current TTUHSC Student

• Understand behaviors associated with professionalism
• Recognize the effect of professionalism in the academic and workplace environments
Communication (Versatile Communications)
• Define versatile communication
• Identify the four social styles and four types of human behaviors.
• Differentiate between the four social styles and four types of human behaviors.
• Describe the two dimensions of versatile communication.
• Explore how to modify your social style.
Critical Conversations
• Develop an approach to address crucial conversations that fosters a more productive and positive outcome
Constructive Conflict
• Define conflict and the importance of resolving conflict
• Identify the different types of conflict
• Identify the conflict-handling styles and when to use them
• Create a plan for resolving conflicts in your department or organization
