Next Level Leader
A self-focused program designed to build and refine leadership effectiveness. This program’s length is six months with new cohorts beginning in January and July every year. Program type can be described as intensive; including multiple readings, journaling, and self-reflection. Likely participant profile may be team members who have completed the Emerging Leaders program or are in a current leadership role and have been a supervisor for over three years. The size for each cohort is no more than 15 participants. Participants will be expected to attend all sessions and will be required to complete all readings and self-reflection activities. There will be a program cost of $350 to cover supplies and meals. Travel will be the responsibility of the team member’s department. It is the responsibility of the applicant to obtain supervisor permission to participate in this program for application submission.
This 6-session program is designed for TTUHSC team members with at least three years of supervisory experience and seek to further develop their personal and professional leadership style.

Learning Objectives:
Session 1: Organizational Acumen
• Understand role in TTUHSC organization
• Explore types of organizations, then specifically TTUHSC
• Relate the McKinsey 7S Framework on the TTUHSC organization • Learning from other organizational structures
Session 2: Self-Awareness – Developing Self
• Learn what self-awareness is and what it is not
• Learning to see personal blocks and opportunities more accurately
• Leaning into learning from others
Session 3: Values – Character - Ethics
• Explore our Values based culture and the effect on leadership • Discover how to be a leader that stays true to character • How to deal with ethical decisions in the workplace
Session 4: Management • Define effective management (to exercise executive, administrative and supervisory direction. “Effective leadership is putting first things first. Effective Management is discipline, carrying it out”) • Explore different management methods
Session 5: Communication
• Review Crucial Conversations Strategies
• Identifying nonverbal communications
• Effectively communicating a difficult message
• Delivering during impromptu scenarios
Session 6: Intentional Decision Making
• Explore various decision-making methods: WRAP Model and OODA Loop • Discuss 6 questions for better decisions
• Create TTUHSC decision making sweet spot
